So, here is the story. I had to do a closing set in the club De bierelier in Enkhuizen, quite north of Amsterdam. It was quite a coincidence, but of all the days, it was that particular day, that the train schedule from Amsterdam Centraal to Enkhuzen was disrupted, due to some construction.

So, looking on the web, at 9292ov.nl I figured, the most optimum way to go there, was take a direct bus from Amsterdam, to a town called Hoorn. Then from Hoorn, you take the train to Enkhuizen.

My other DJ friend Widia (DJ Megagirl) was very sweet and helpful to pick me from the train station to the club. I arrived there with my Macbook pro laptop, and my new Allen & Heath Xone:4D mixer.

Since the set had started quite early, and it was a Sunday, there were not enough people at the club. I started my closing set at 21:00 (9:00 PM) and finished the set in around 70 minutes.

Since I started my set as back to back with DJ Megagirl, it was quite interesting to mix with her genre which was electro-house, whereas I had a slow intro with Progressive  Trance.

Here are some pictures from the set. You may also download the set as a Podcast episode, for your listening pleasures.

And as always, comments are always welcome.

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE for short) started on Oct 22nd this year. On Saturday the 24th, I went to The Escape in Amsterdam to see Paul Van Dyk on the decks. He played a good set as always. Here is a short slide-show of some of the pictures taken at the club.  The photos are from the Escape web site gallery.

This is my 2nd mix release. I had been working on improving the sound quality of my mixes. In this October release I’ve worked on 64 bit EQ processing, and a good mastering plug-in on my Ableton Live set to get a pristine quality sound with good bass. I finished this mix on Oct 2nd, right before my short vacation trip to London.

Enjoy the mix.
